Finally had my first opportunity a few nights ago. I use a slow-n-sear for my Weber Kettle. I did steaks and loaded baked potatoes. I decided to do a reverse sear on my steaks because they were about 2 inch thick, at one point the temp dropped a little below my preference on the indirect side, it was very easy to just lift up the hinged grate and drop a few hot coals on the direct side. This really does add convenience. I plan on smoking a pork shoulder this weekend, this grate will be my best friend. I will update after the weekend to give a more accurate review.UPDATE: Hands down a must for any serious BBQ guy or gal! Very easy to load in more wood or charcoal if needed. It has held up well for a long 11 1/2 hour smoke and countless steaks, chops, and burgers. I have no idea how I grilled/smoked without this thing!

Nicely made, functional, stout. Got this for a Napoleon PRO22K-LEG kettle (same diameter as Weber 22.5 kettles), as alternative to the cast iron grates it comes with. I can use it in the top two grill positions, but not the lowest / closest to the coals. Middle position requires some creativity to get it past the top stops.

Man that was fast! Second day after ordering it is sitting on my porch.It is exactly what I wanted delux model with wings, perfect fit and stainless steel. No more rusted out grates, I'm pleased.

Works perfectly, and won't rust away like the original did. Well made, heavy duty stainless steel, much easier to clean than the original. The flipup sides let you poke at the charcoal during cooking.
