Bought the Fosi Audio Box X1 as it seemed to be highly regarded as a good budget preamp option and so far it works perfectly! It's quite compact and very simple to use (only has an on/off button and then inputs/outputs at the back) and paired with my Edifier R1280T active speakers (would highly recommend those too if you don't want to break the bank) it sounds incredible!

The Fosi Audio BOX X1 with an MM turntable, feeding a Bluetooth transmitter which then connects to my Roth VA4 active speakers. Setup was very easy and worked first time. The turntable goes into the BOX X1, then out to a UGREEN Bluetooth transmitter (set to transmit mode), which pairs wirelessly with the speakers. No apps, no screens, no messing around, just buttons and LEDs. Once paired, it reconnects automatically. Sound quality is better than I expected for the price. The BOX X1 is quiet, with no noticeable hum or noise in my system, and it does a perfectly good job of phono amplification. Over Bluetooth, the sound remains clear and balanced. Yes, Bluetooth is technically lossy, but in real listening terms the loss is mostly academic. I wouldn’t notice it unless I was directly A/B testing against a wired connection. There is a small amount of Bluetooth delay, but in a vinyl-only setup this doesn’t matter at all. It has no impact on listening enjoyment. Overall, this is a very good value phono preamp. Paired with a modern Bluetooth transmitter, it’s a practical and affordable way to get vinyl playing wirelessly without sacrificing sound quality in any meaningful way. I bought this (X1) to connect my old Dual 505 turntable to a Denon amp/cd player, so regaining access to playing albums after many years! A joyful moment ! It's easy to connect with the Amazon Basics RCA cables and works perfectly - providing excellent sound quality. I'm very pleased with this product, excellent value for money.

I used the unit as a phone pre amp between a TEAC Turntable and Denon Amp. The Denon amp does not have a phono input function. The pre amp functioned as specified into the Aux input. The sound appeared to be acceptable at least to my aged ears. I can now play my LPs and 45s. The pre amp looks well made and small enough to be tucked away out of sight, although you do require access to the power button.

Does exactly what it says. Made an error with ordering a new turntable and forgot to pick the one with built in phono. This fixed the problem and is a reasonable price. For those complaining of buzzing, you need to ground your input.

No sound out of right speaker

Not too expensive, no nonsense, does what it is needed. I'm no hi-fi sound expert so hard to judge quality, but I can hear my records now so more than happy.

I have connected the Fosi Audio Phono Pre-amp to my Technics turntable and line out to my Sonodyne amplifier and speaker out to Philips HiFi-International 3 way speaker system. The line out audio signal is strong and produces hifidelity sound and it's bass and treble combination is truly fantastic. I find this pre-amp a must buy for all vinyl lovers to keep alive and enjoy the magical experience of listening to original hifidelity music since in today's time it is difficult to repair faulty phono lines of past amplifiers and also hard to get new amplifiers with phono line nowadays. We can convert any amplifier or home theatre system into a phono turntable compatible amplifier via this Fosi audio MM pre -amplifier
