GMP Vitas Ultimate Extra Strength Glucosamine Chondroitin MSM HCI 1400mg per Serving, for Advanced Relief-Mobility Health Supplement for Pain, Aches, Soreness&Inflammation-150 Count Tablet

I have been taking Glucosamine Chondroitin for many years. I used to be a competitive power lifter and therefore a supplement that provided lubrication and support for the joints was always invaluable. Once I stopped competing in the Masters Class and retired, all the physical abuse I had put myself through which included 7 years as a skydiver on an acrobatic team in the 70's, a scuba shop owner and instructor who led filming expeditions around the world for over 20 years while hauling heavy scuba gear and tanks, bungee jumping, football and any that reeked of high adrenaline.....well, suffice it to say that all that punishment finally caught up to me. In 2005 I needed to have 3 vertebra fused and my back, at age 65 can still be painful. However, the taking of Glucosamine, for me, has helped reduce all that discomfort. I have spoken to many of my peers who said they had used it as well. Some said it was helpful, some said the opposite. Never the less, I believe it to be helpful and certainly of no harm in any way. All supplements that are not absorbed by the body are urinated out anyway.Before taking the GMP Joint Support Supplement, I compared it to the one I had been taking which was the Viva Glucosamine Chondroitin MSM combination whose bottle consisted of 240 capsules. The Viva serving size was two capsules a day providing 750 Mgs of Glucosamine Sulfate and 600mg of Chondroitin Sulfate. The GMP Joint supplement lists a serving as being 2 capsules which would provide 700mg of Glucosamine and 200mg of Chondroitin.I have found no information or advice as to just how many Mgs are really needed or recommended and I have no doubts as to the quality and purity of the GMP Joint supplements. However, these big capsules and I thought it was a pain taking just two a day. GMP suggests taking 2 a day to achieve their serving dosage. This can help over the long term, do not expect immediate results that will make you feel 18 again. I can only suggest that you do the research to find which is most beneficial to your health and which would be more cost effective.Do I recommend this supplement....absolutely, yes. Is the dosage size appropriate? I am not a doctor but the taking of Glucosamine can be of great help to you and your joints. I was offered a discounted sample of this product for review purposes and I was quite pleased. I've taken a similar type of joint compound for several years after accident related neck problems, and I've found that regular supplementation keeps pain levels down and mobility up. This compound contains good dosages of glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM, for a balanced approach. I take a capsule at each meal and find that they are a little smaller than the Move Free brand, so they go down easy. I also appreciate the fact that this supplement is made in the USA.
