Yep, this works well with CACs on a Windows 11 PC!
As other reviewers have noted, this works with DoD CAC-cards. I had been using another foldable CAC reader for the past 12 years, but earlier this year it became unusable due to driver conflicts after a Windows 11 update on my personal laptop. Sure, I could have gone to my IT staff to get issued a new CAC reader, but it would have been a model intended for office workstations using a bigger housing and a long USB cable which isn't great for travel (jeez, I carry around too many cables as it is!). So, I ordered the PocketMate II based on the overall highly positive reviews and immediately tested it after it arrived. The device was recognized by Windows right away and the drivers loaded with no problems. That allowed me to connect flawlessly with my organization's remote desktop app. Like my previous CAC reader, this folds up into a size slightly bigger than a USB thumb-drive and fits nicely in my travel bag. In short, I highly recommend this since it gave me the features and functionality that I needed at a low price.

Great for eID management (Latvia)
Perfect plug and play solution for using Latvian eGov services with an eID card. Works flawlessly on Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS (Ubuntu 24.04). The eParakstītājs 3.0 software and its companion packages contain all needed drivers. Perfect form factor for occasional use.
