Allows you to add Bluetooth streaming music capabilities to any device equipped with a 30-pin Apple cable or dock. (An iPod car kit, a sound dock for your home, etc.) Use it to play music from an mp3 player, phone or tablet, be it Apple, Android or Windows -- Very small in appearance (1.5 inch by 1.5 inch) and just has to be within 20 feet of the device/phone you're playing music from. -- Once it is paired to your device it will automatically connect each time you power the item up that it's physically attached to. (Although you should note additional Bluetooth audio receivers in the vicinity may 'compete' with this device for your default connection.) -- This is not a rechargeable device. It gets it's power from a 30-Pin iPod connection. It will stay powered up as long as the item it is attached to has power. (If you have a device that you cannot turn off, please be aware that is a limitation with your device, not this receiver. This will stay on indefinitely in that situation and problems/errors can result after time, requiring you to possibly delete and re-pair. Sure, you can remove this from the 30-pin connection repeatedly when you are done using it but we do NOT recommend it. This is not intended for use like that or for portable use in any fashion. It is intended to be connected once and you're done. If you have more than one application, please purchase one of these for each.) -- You can use this in your car if it is equipped with a 30-pin iPod cable or you can use it in the house with an alarm clock or any other device with a 30-pin connection and speakers. -- Please note the picture in this ad shows two different views of the same device.
