Size:1/2 inches | Number of Items:10 The Precision Brand HD-SN series stainless steel worm gear clamp has a series 300 stainless steel band and housing, a stainless steel screw, and is appropriate for heavy duty use in marine environments. A worm gear mechanism adjusts the clamp’s diameter to precisely apply sealing pressure. and the clamp’s four-piece construction gives it strength that helps provide strong clamping. The band’s 9/16” width provides a greater sealing area than clamps of smaller width. The band, housing and screw are made of stainless steel that conforms to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) 300 series standard and provides resistance to corrosion in marine environments. The slotted, 5/16” hex-head screw allows installation using a blade screwdriver, nut driver, or socket wrench. The clamp is recommended for maximum torque of 80 inch-pounds. Hose clamps attach hoses to fittings to prevent flow leakage. They come in a variety of designs and distribute uniform pressure over the circumference of hoses to bind them to fittings. Hose clamps are suitable for a large number of industries, and commonly used in industrial, electronic, and automotive applications.Precision Brand Products manufactures products such as hose clamps, shims, keystock, threaded rods, punch and die sets, and wire. The company, founded in 1946 and headquartered in Downers Grove, IL, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard 9001.

Disappointing Product
The description in general, and the photo in particular, shows that these clamps are of the "double Wrap" variety. But when they arrive you discover that they only go around the hose once, not twice. Photo is therefore incorrect and misleading.

Quality is as good as local stores
Works as advertised. Quality is as good as local stores, better than cheap brands on the Internet and the prices were competitive.

Good quality hose clamps.
Well made and hold where cheaper brands work themselves losse and need retightening. I'd recommend them, for sure. Better than the big box auto parts store hose clamps.

Well made & heavier duty than standard clamps.
Definitely more heavy duty than the average worm gear clamps. I'd buy these again.
