The Egyptian Kitchen: A Cookbook of Unique and Simple Egyptian Recipes

I have an Egyptian friend and it's her birthday coming up soon, I figured I should try and make something special for her birthday. So far, I'm pleased with this recipe book, it did give me a lot of options to choose from. Only one small detail is the lack of illustrations but that's entirely okay since the recipes were so detailed and easy to understand. I like few recipes such as Kushari, Kofta and Egyptian Beef Stew.

A few authentic meals would follow the directions

No pictures and very few recipes. My husband is from Egypt so I wanted to surprise him and cook something from his country so I had him look at the recipes. He was not impressed. A lot of grammar/spelling errors as well.

I bought this for a friend who has just married an Egyptian. It's only a flimsy little paperback book (looks almost home made) but has all the essential Egyptian recipes apparently.
