What size needle for a sewing machine do i need when using this thread (grey bobbin - strong)

Sorry i can't help as I know nothing about sewing machines. I used this for hand stitching a double seam, I used an upholstery needle that was sharp with a 2mm eye as my eyes aren't great when it comes to threading

Good and strong!

I needed to repair a seam in my grandson’s school trousers … this was just the job and I was quite surprised at the feel of the thread - rather like it was ‘corded’. So I’m hoping it will hold
