Sony A6300: An Easy Guide for Beginners Paperback – March 9, 2016

This brief tour of the Alpha 6300 is a numbered list of the camera's features, without so much as a pictorial guide to where those features are to be found on the camera. It is a rewrite of an earlier guide to the A 6000. It was so hurriedly done that not all the references have changed, the book's title in the heading of each page is incorrect ("ANY East Guide for Beginners," rather than "AN Easy Guide..."), and typos and omitted words litter the text. There is even some misinformation (e.g., Capture One does not "convert data to RAW format," but converts RAW from RAW.) At the end of the read, you will know little more about your camera than you found in the guide that comes with it. A far better reference is the full review given on dpreview.com.

This very thin volume has the look and feel of something produced on a typewriter in a hurry. It's a bit fewer than 40 small pages, depending on how one counts. The text has all the style on tone-of-voice of a standard instruction manual, minus the usual wit and charm.

As the other reviewers have said, this is a poor excuse for a book. In fact, the only nice thing about this book is the cover. Inside there is very little of substance. Rather than a "guide" this pamphlet lists a very few of the features that the camera offers, with a short paragraph for each. The Sony sales page has more information. The little bit of printing is very faint as though copied on a poor copier that was running out of ink. If you have purchased a Sony a6300 wait until the real book comes out, but in the meantime to get started review the videos available on YouTube.

I can't believe I spent any money on this 15 page feature overview. Don't waste your money. Shortest and least complete overview imaginable.

This product is a total fraud. It isnt no guide. It is a glorified list of the cameras features. That is all it is. A bullet point list of the cameras features that can be seen for free on the cameras product page or any website or review about the camera. This book is not any kind of guide. I didnt expect alot, but at least a basic guide on using the camera. Not even list of camera features is worth the price of this book. DO NOT BUY. This book is a scam

Amazon forced me to give this one start but i'd give it -100000 stars if I could!This'll teach me to buy a book without reading the reviews. This is worthless ... literally just regurgitates marketing materials. There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO USEFUL OR PRACTICAL INFORMATION provided and you'd be better off just reading Sony's marketing materials. At least those have pictures!!!! Sure, this "author" got my money so I guess props to them. Even thieves gotta eat I suppose. So. Disappointed. I. Have. No. Words.I wish there was a way to get this sort of garabage off Amazon.

Very basic. More info in product manual. Typos. Typesetting and font make it very hard to read.
