What is the windmill diameter in feet?

Dear friends Hello, the diameter of our 8-blade wind turbine is: 90 cm = 35.4330709 inches

Is there any way that this is really an 8kw generator? that order magnitude generator would have 20-30ft blades and be mounted on 100 ft posts. fake!

Yes, you can approximate expected power from a horizontally mounted windmill (aside from electrical handling capability) by squaring the diameter (in feet) and dividing by ~50-54. e.g. KW=(D^2)/54 or D=sqrt(KW*54). This is with a nominal wind speed ~(10-15mph) and optimum generator system. In this case, the square root of 8*54 would be about ~20.8 feet diameter... Any lower efficiency pushes the size larger. This "eyeball" crude formula was derived from table 20.5 of M.A. Hyam book: Metropolitan Sustainability, 2012
