My pediatrician recommended giving my son a 1-mg dose of melatonin before bedtime to help with his sleep issues. Despite having a solid bedtime routine, wearing-down period, attention to evening diet and fluids, lighting control, etc. my child has always had difficult crossing the threshold to sleep. Most of what I found in drugstores was a non-chewable tablet, so I checked on trusty Amazon and found these chewables with great reviews. The very first night we used them, my son was sweet, pleasant, and sleepy during his bedtime routine and he went right to sleep without a fuss. My husband and I were very surprised at how quickly and well this worked! Our 2 year old daughter is a better sleeper by nature but when she is going through a difficult phase we cut a tablet in half and it really helps her too. I have started taking it myself when I have the urge to be a night owl and I can personally attest to the effectiveness of melatonin. It doesn't MAKE you go to sleep, it just helps your body to get there and you wake up feeling well rested. After a few months of using melatonin for my son, I am seeing even greater benefits. His physical growth has taken off because he is getting the proper rest that he needs, and he is more balanced and able to reach his full potential in daily activities. He is also more aware of when his body needs to rest. I can't fully describe what we've been through in the last 4 years, but melatonin is truly a miracle and I would recommend it to anyone with sleep difficulties.

I have a little girl that since she was born has had trouble falling asleep and sleeping soundly. As she got a little older, allergies and asthma made sleeping even less restful. I was recommended melatonin by one of her specialist doctors and we give her 2mg (she's four years old) every night at bedtime and she know falls asleep so easily and sleeps much better. She even wakes up to tell me how great she slept. We have tried other brands which have not helped at all- I am a big fan of this brand and love that it is chewable. I occasionally take 2mg as well when I have a lot on my mind or am tossing and turning and sleep wonderfully. They give you a very natural sleepy feeling and you wake up alert and well-rested. I sleep great on them and so does my daughter but not to the point we would sleep through loud noises, a quick bathroom trip and I am still able to wake up to feed a baby with no problem. I wish we had a doctor tell us about these sooner for my daughter. They literally have been a game changer for us. Update: Years later, we still use this brand. With four kids, this melatonin is awesome to use for those that need it. I love that the dose is small and easily adapted to each kid. I highly recommend it to friends and family who also need melatonin support for little ones and adults!

I have a whole system set up for bedtime. Including a few other items like magnesium and L- Thianine which I take to start winding down. One of the things that I really like about this aside from the flavor, it seems like you’re having candy, is the fact that I can take this after I have brushed my teeth for the night because the sweetener in it is sorbitol, hey Siri, what Is sorbitol? It is a sugar alcohol. It does not contribute to tooth decay. . I take two 3 mg. Tablets And I am off to sleep within a half an hour. I have found that this is what works best for me.

MEL-O-CHEW 1mg Melatonin works well for my purposes and what would be expected. I have been ordering them since 4/18/2018 regularly and last order was 1/19/22 (two bottles). For my purposes I use 5 tablets (5mg's total) before retiring. They work quickly for me in giving me that boost to nodding off at night. My relative recommended them to me as they preferred them as being a Kosher product (they occasionally take 1mg and sometimes for their kids too. Kosher, if it is a recognized symbol, has an extra layer of supervision for production. She had checked out the approval symbol as being legitimate and recognized. I tried a different brand that was a slow release brand in the same amount that I was taking (5mg) and it did not work for me. I guess I needed the melatonin boost all at one time. I've read and was advised by my physician's assistant and later from my doctor that taking up to 10mg was safe and not a problem so I edged myself up one tablet at a time to the "dosage" that worked best for me. One more mg. gave me no extra benefit so I was able to be satisfied at 5 chewables. Over the last almost four (4) years I haven't identified any difference in consistent quality so I am satisfied. I now buy two bottles at a time so that I have one in stock. With supply chain that's my thing. Melatonin gives you a boost for sleep. It is not a sleeping medicine that knocks you out for the whole night. It helps you get to sleep, you may sleep all night or not. I need the boost and it works for me.
