Sassy [Gloria Mallette] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Sassy Review: Dramatic and psychotic - Sassy was a good read. I couldn't put it down until I finished. I'm glad I read this book after having it my Kindle library for 9 years. I've read other books by Gloria Mallette and I'm never disappointed. Review: Sassy is definitely sassy!!!!! - This book was equivalent to a murder-mystery. The author put the right amount of intrigue to the story. Once I thought I had figured things out, but then I was wrong!! End result......very, very good read. One can see the jealousy, sibling rivalry, humor, intrigue, independence, gutseyness (is that a word?), strong manhood representation, sense of strong family values and more in this book. For me this book ran the gamut of emotions. I would recommend this book & have to my friends.

Could NOT put this book down
I recommended this book to my book club and boy am I glad I did! After the first two pages of the first chapter I was hooked! This book is filled with suspense, and romance (something for all). We have read and love Gloria Malletts other books, but I think this is her best!

excellent kept me turning for more
This was a good book. I loved the suspense and it kept me turning the page to find out more. I really enjoyed this and look forward to finding other books this author has written. It is not your average urban storyline but it is suspensful and very well written.

I LIKE THIS AUTHOR
I HAVEN'T HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO READ THIS BOOK YET. HOWEVER, I REALLY ENJOYED GLORIA'S BOOK AND STYLE OF WRITING. I CHOSED "THE HONEY WELL" FOR A BOOK CLUB MEETING AND EVERYONE ENJOYED IT.

Excellent suspense and romance story!
I just couldn't put the book down. Every page jumped out at me. I cried and laughed all at the same time reading this book. There was nothing that I didn't like about it. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good love story along with murders, lies, and deceit

Just Plain Awful
I usually am never motivated to write a review, however this book was so horrible that I just can't be silent. There is so much wrong with this book for so many (14) to rate it so highly. I actually feel like I was conned. After reading the other reviews, I was expecting suspense, murder, and dash of romance. I got the murder part, I just didn't know the victim was the book. The first thing that jumps out at you is the plot. It comes straight out of a soap opera; from the 1980s.You can actually guess who the killer is after about 75 pages or less; which isn't a challenge for an avid reader. Another problem is the terrible grammer. It's so bad that if a middle school student was to turn this in, they couldn't even hope to get a passing grade. I try not to fuss over a writer's "style" but this is too much. The errors are present from start to finish with misspelled words, words that just don't belong in the sentence (ex. "She was touch old woman" instead of tough and "rying" instead of trying), and just plain awkward phrases that no one uses regardless of class, geography, or social standing. You literally start to feel like someone is trying to hurt you using English. The author was in desperate need of a proofreader and an editor that will actually pay attention to the quality of work their attaching their name to. One other thing is that you can't get a feel for what the characters even look like until almost 100 pages into the book. This makes it hard to picture the story when you have only the vaguest idea of what the characters look like. Last but not least, the author ruins the characters. She takes the supportive and extremely forgiving best friend and does everything to try to get the reader to hate her just to make the lead character look more magnanimous when the BFF has every right to be angry and hurt. To make it worse, it's done in such an obvious turn on a dime way that it leaves you feeling frustrated and ready for the book to just end already. She then takes a perfect opportunity for the whole redemption and forgiveness cliche (which would have made this a 2 star book) and just utterly destroys it in a completely unrealistic mess that has you skimming the last chapters just to see if you correctly guessed who the killer was. After all that, the emotional fallout of who the killer is is left unexplored from the point of view of the person most affected by the entire situation. All in all, it hurt to read it, I'm amazed I finished it, and I absolutely paid too much. Definitely a must miss.

Sassy indeed
This book was very entertaining. It read like a movie on tape and every time I stopped, it was like putting it on pause and I had to hurry back to watch more. I'm going to recommend this book to my Reading Circle for next month's selection. I enjoyed it completely.
