‘Seasonal adjust’ is a manual feature. It’s not automatic, so your programming doesn’t change unless you change it.

Q: Will a wireless rain sensor hook up to this 12 station controller as is without the wifi module?

Yes, all sensors work without a WiFi Module being installed.

Q: Does this controller come with the (12) solenoid valves? What is meant by "modules for 12 zones"? Anyone have a picture of what's in the box?

I don't see anywhere in the bullet points or description that says "modules for 12 zones". It's not a modular controller, it comes with a fixed 12 zones. There is an optional WiFi module available, however.
