Avery Dennison has developed a tape specifically for the woodworking market that allows for easy repositioning, dry assembly or use with pattern templates. One side has a thin permanent adhesive. The adhesive on the site side sticks to the surface and does not allow lateral movement, but when pulled straight away from the surface it releases cleanly with no remaining residue. This is a great advantage for template work because you do not have to sand the residue from the surface. It also works well for dry fitting pieces for assembly and is especially useful in installing drawer fronts before they are permanently attached. Each 2" x 50' roll comes in a reusable clamshell to keep the tape clean and for easy storage.
