Is this adhesive and waterproof?

Yes, the whole area is adhesive and waterproof.

Would this be a good bandage for a drainage wound like a leg ulcer?

As a 20 year wound care nurse, I can tell you, this would not be a good dressing for a moderate to heavily draining wound (typically seen with a leg ulcer, especially with leg swelling) . This bandage is for shallow, lightly draining wounds.

Does the surface of it have pattern? or just sleek?

The surface of the Dynarex Dynaderm Hydrocolloid bandage has no pattern. It is sleek and cloudy.
