Vichy Capital Soleil Tinted Mineral Sunscreen for Face SPF 60, Titanium Dioxide Face Sunscreen, Travel Size Sunscreen, Water Resistant, Light weight Sun Protection Creams, Gels, & Lotions

I am 27 years old with visible signs of skin aging due to the fact that I smoked cigarettes for 10 years and have terrible cystic acne. All if those free radicals and damages from scarring have left me pretty hopeless. However, I have always been on my skincare game and have been using spf every day since my early 20s. Even in my teen years I used foundation with spf. Because of my acne I don't use heavy makeup ever, not even on stage. (I play the bass guitar in a metal band called Hostile Engagement) I do have skin concerns that I want blurred but I don't NEED to cover every zit or dark mark. I have finally found my tinted Holy grail. I have gone through 5 bottles in the last year and a half and I'm about to get my sixth. I should probably do the subscribe amd save at this point. BTW I did quite smoking and after about two months of cessation people at work keep telling me that I'm glowing. I heard it so much that I had to take a pregnancy test lol. Don't smoke and of you do then quit, always use your spf, cleanse at night followed by your actives then a moisturizer. Update: I will be 29 in two weeks and I still love this stuff so much! I don't even wear foundation anymore. Just this.

Edited to add: as of November 2025, I HAVE repurchased this two times. It ended up being one of the better tinted spf products I tried during my hunt for my favorite 2.5 years ago! Upped my rating to 5 stars. Everything below is still accurate! Original review May 2023: 4 out of 5 stars… almost perfect for my needs. Im going to list my cons first, because if these really bother you, this won’t be your ideal product. 1) the bottle is fairly small for sunscreen. It’s 1.5 oz. If you’re using this regularly and use the recommended amount of product to get accurate spf protection, you’re likely to go through this quickly. 2) the price is high for the amount you get. I’ve purchased foundations that cost more, but you use less so they last longer. Also my go-to Paula’s Choice sunscreen is about the same price, but I’m getting twice as much product with that one. So this seems expensive to me. 3) it’s messy. I don’t know why it feels so much messier than other products I have in the same sort of nozzle spout bottles. But this one definitely is messier. It’s never leaked out of the cap, but it gets all over the spout and inside the cap. And lastly 4) the coverage on this is very low. That’s not a deal breaker for me, and with two layers I get it to light coverage (versus sheer coverage with one layer.) If you like higher coverage products, you won’t get that with this no matter how many layers you apply. The background: I’m 47 with good skin, but dry and sensitive. I’m beginning to show signs of aging around my mouth and eyes. I prefer the lighter coverage foundation/skin tint products, those that look like healthy perfected skin rather than makeup that covers every little freckle but looks unrealistic. Because I have dry skin, I absolutely cannot do matte products without looking significantly aged. I also don’t like overly dewy products that sink into fine lines and pores. The conclusion: So I’ve been looking for the past year for a high spf tinted mineral facial sunscreen that didn’t irritate my sensitive skin. Ideally, I wanted something I could use in place of tinted moisturizer or skin tint type foundations for everyday use. I’ve purchased so many… some are too dry, some too oily, some offer zero coverage at all and emphasize texture, some are basically foundation with sunscreen so the coverage is too much. This one checks off most of my boxes. It’s moisturizing, but not greasy. It settles into a satin/natural finish on my face. The texture is thin and silky, feels lovely on. The universal tint matched well with my light neutral skin tone. The coverage is sheer to light at best, but even at sheer coverage it has a blurring effect that seems to camouflage minor imperfections. It can be built up slightly, not higher than light coverage, in my opinion. It’s not tacky to the touch, and can be set with a light dusting of powder if you prefer. The spf is high, which I like. Also, it’s not hard to use the recommended amount for the true spf coverage claimed. I believe the ideal amount to use is a quarter of a teaspoon of any spf to get the correct amount needed for the stated spf. That sounds like a lot, but this texture is so thin, and it applies so smoothly and easily, two layers gets the correct amount and still sits well on your skin and never looks odd or feels heavy. It wears well, feels good on, and doesn’t irritate my skin. It also doesn’t irritate my eyes. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. To be honest, I really like this but I’m not sure I’ll REpurchase, but ONLY because I’m undecided if the product value is there for the price… I might keep trying other tinted spf products to see if I find the true Goldilocks…

I'm 37yo with relatively "good," combo/dry skin, and after my skincare routine, I apply limited concealer, and then the Vichy tinted sunscreen all over my face, neck, and decolletage, with a swipe of blush and limited mascara; that's it. My coworkers have all commented on how great my "makeup" looks. I was really concerned when I first got the product as it comes out super watery. My concerns were quickly lifted after applying the product and wearing it day after day. Granted, I don't get to "touch grass" as much as I would like to, but the limited amount of sun I do get, it protects my skin well. I love the light feel and overall coverage. The smell isn't great, but I wasn't expecting it to be, but it's also not awful. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a daily, natural look.

I tried this sunscreen and overall, I liked it. However, I found it to be quite runny, which means I end up using more product to cover my skin properly. While it does the job, the liquid consistency makes it feel like it runs out faster than other sunscreens I’ve used. Still, it’s effective, but I wish it had a thicker texture.

It’s so difficult to find a mineral sunscreen that doesn’t leave a white cast. So, I decided to try this product even though I was somewhat skeptical about the tint. Fortunately it is a perfect shade. I have fair skin but it blends in so my skin doesn’t look artificially tan. There’s no smell and it doesn’t sting my eyes like chemical sunscreens. It’s expensive, but worth it.

This leaves a beautiful finish on the skin that almost looks like makeup, and doesn’t irritate my very sensitive skin. I would say it is slightly glowy finish so if you have oily skin it might be too much, but ok for my combination skin in the drier months.

If you’re looking for a runny, thin consistency this sunscreen is for you. It is very lightweight and can be worn under makeup. However, the runny consistency makes application a bit messy. The tint also has a gray hue to it, so it can look a little weird on its own. This product has no added fragrance which I like, but it has a strange odor to it. I can look past the this as the smell goes away after it dries, but it still doesn’t feel or smell the best when going on, so I don’t reach for it often. Lastly, this is a Titanium Dioxide only formulation, so you aren’t as protected from UV as you would be if it also contained Zinc Oxide. This is fine if you’re inside most of the day or are layering with other types of sunscreen, but still not ideal. For these reasons, I would likely not repurchase this.

Really good sunscreen

I’m really impressed with this sunscreen! At first, the tint looked a bit too light for my skin, but after 5–10 minutes it blended in perfectly and matched my skin tone beautifully. The texture is ultra-light and non-sticky, which makes it very comfortable to wear throughout the day. It gives a nice matte finish and doesn’t make my skin shiny. I’ve worn it under makeup with no issues — it sits well and doesn’t pill. My skin is a bit on the dry side, so I do apply a light moisturizer beforehand, but that’s a small step for such great protection. I love that it uses 100% mineral filters and is safe for sensitive skin. No breakouts, no irritation — just smooth, protected skin. Definitely a new favorite in my skincare routine!

So, I bought this to wear when I went on holiday to Cancun. I never wear makeup during the day while I’m away so, given that I’m very pale, I thought that this might help brighten my skin. I was surprised at first that it had such a thin consistency but it goes on really easily and it gave my skin a nice glow without looking orange. You can reapply this multiple times and it still looks good. Protection wise, it’s awesome. I was initially concerned that I was putting vanity over protecting my skin but my concerns were completely unfounded. I was the only one that didn’t get sunburn on my face and my skin felt good all day. It also caused no breakouts at all. I will without a doubt buy this again.

Excellente crème solaire de tout les jours! La couleur se font très bien avec ma peau, même si à première vue la teinte semble trop foncé pour ma couleur de peau. Il y en a beaucoup pour le prix et il petite quantité est assez pour couvrir l'ensemble du visage. J'ai retiré une étoile puisque, lorsque je souhaite me maquiller alors que j'ai déjà appliqué cette crème, le fini sur le visage n'est vraiment pas beau. La crème ne se mixte pas dutout avec le maquillage et l'effet se voit. Pour quelqu'un qui ne se maquille pas tout les jour, cette crème est une superbe base!

Works well as my daily sunscreen on sensitive skin and evens out skin tone.

I am not the person who hates perfume on a product. Not sure how some people say they have a sensitive nose then ask for unperfumed products when they smell like chemicals if they are not perfumed. Beats me! Also this leaves a pale while cast. It does an okay job as a sunscreen. I would not buy nor recommend it.
