I would say yes with it protected from the getting scratched.

This pad does NOT have an r-value of 4.4. That would be for the insulated version of this pad. The regular Klymit Double V pad has an r-value of 1.6

Why the pictures show a different type of valve than the insulated one I received which has 2 valves, one for inflate and deflate?
