Great product and a must for any serious walker/navigator.
I have used many compasses in my career but I have always had a |Silva compass in my pocket. They are excellent and this model is great value for money.

A good map compass, ideal for your cub scouts.
I needed a compass for my daughter who has joined the cub scouts.This is exactly the same as the map compass I had in the 80's.It has everything you need to help you read a map including a mini magnified glass.It also has a nice role to hang it around your neck or to tie it to your rucksack.

Ok compass
Fine but probably not as good as Silva devices, I have a problem seeing the red outline which you line the arrow up to as it's impossible to see, it's too feint for me had to use pen to draw in arrow line

Helpful piece of kit
Great piece of kit. Used in some orienteering events and worked perfectly. It's part of my hiking kit even if I know the area.
