I have also read and wrote reviews for numerous martial art books. This book, (kickboxing: The complete guide to conditioning, technique and competition by Christoph Delp) is a 252 page comprehensive text on kickboxing.The pages are made of slick clear paper and it is loaded with detailed photographs of all the techniques. It is also well written and easy to read. The nine parts cover just about every aspect of kickboxing and includes the following material:Part one explains what is kickboxing? The history of kickboxing, kick boxing today and important rules and regulations. Part two focuses on getting started in kickboxing. Part three provides important basic knowledge on fighting. Part four shows offensive techniques of punching and kicking. Part five deals with offensive techniques used in combinations. Defensive and countering techniques are explored in section six. Part seven reviews feinting techniques. Part eight explores in detail kickboxing training programs. The final chapter covers competition in kickboxing.This is a fantastic book is for anyone who is interested kickboxing whether for sport, fitness or self-defense. Honestly this book is a waste of time and money for those who are looking to strengthen their technique or train for competition. While I wouldnt say that anything displayed in the book is wrong, its just not very helpful unless you have no kickboxing experence at all. But the thing is that if you dont have any experence and you are not in a class or being instructed by someone with real experence at best you are only wasteing your time and at worst, going to hurt yourself.

Good product

I don't have a clue as to what kind of kickboxing this is. It is like a rerun of the P.K.A. Some of these people are light contact champions. What is that all about?
