Hello - We are an American company based in Irvine California. We employee over 40 hard working Americans in our office here. A vast majority of items you see on Amazon are actually sold by Chinese companies that do not create any jobs in America and often times steal designs and intellectual property from companies like us. So while our products are actually manufactured overseas (Just like Apple etc) we are very much so an American company and appreciate your business. We are here for you should you ever have any issues with your product down the road.

Will they rip and will they blow away in wind

It would take quite a bit for them to rip and they will only blow away in the wind if enough air can get under them to do so. They are heavy enough and floppy enough that it would take a pretty strong wind for them to blow away.
