Amazon Basics 24-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH High-Capacity Batteries, 2400 mAh, 1.2V, Recharge up to 400x Times, Pre-Charged

Amazon excells again.Bought a charger and needed some batteries so went for these. They charge fast and last a decent amount of time. That's it really.Buy Amazon basics if you want cheap well made items.

I’ve been genuinely impressed with Amazon Basics AA and AAA batteries. They deliver consistently strong, reliable power across everything I’ve used them in — from TV remotes and wireless keyboards to game controllers, smart home sensors, and kids’ toys. Performance has been comparable to far more expensive branded batteries, with no noticeable drop-off in power or premature failures. What really stands out is their reliability over time. They hold charge well in low-drain devices, don’t leak, and feel dependable even when left installed for months. For everyday household use, they simply work exactly as you’d expect a good battery to work — no fuss, no surprises. The value proposition is exceptional. You get dependable performance at a price that makes sense, especially if you go through batteries regularly. They’re ideal for bulk buying without feeling like you’re compromising on quality.Overall, these are batteries you can buy with confidence. Practical, reliable, and excellent value — Amazon Basics AA and AAA batteries have become my default choice and I see no reason to switch back to more expensive alternatives.

The Amazon Basics 16 Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH High Capacity Batteries, 2400 mAh, have been a dependable choice for us so far.In terms of performance, they have done exactly what we need them to do. They arrived pre charged, charged up again without issue, and have successfully held their charge through repeated use. We have recharged them many times, and they continue to perform consistently. For everyday household devices like remotes, wireless accessories, and small electronics, they have been reliable and durable.Compared to many other well known brands, the pricing is better. Right now, this set works out to roughly 1 € per battery, which is not unreasonable for 2400 mAh rechargeables. I still feel they sit about 15 to 20 percent higher than they ideally should. Sustainable products often appeal to people who care about reducing waste, though the upfront cost can be a real barrier for many households. More competitive pricing would make it easier for families to justify switching from disposable batteries, even if the long term savings are clear.Build quality feels solid, and we have not experienced early failures or noticeable degradation beyond what you would normally expect over time. The 2400 mAh capacity is strong for higher drain devices, and they have handled regular use well.Overall, these are dependable rechargeable batteries that perform as advertised. With slightly sharper pricing, they would be an even stronger value. As it stands, I would still buy them again if needed.

Good rechargeable batteries. The batteries have been recharged a few times and are still going strong.

These rechargeable batteries usually recharge well and usually discharge smoothly when operating an electrical appliance such as a portable radio. I have had only one of these batteries which eventually began to fail. Progressively it became harder and harder to give this battery a full charge so when in service it could not last as long as the other batteries I was using in a set of four to run my Sony DAB/FM portable radio. In the end I had to stop using this individual battery. In all fairness, this battery did perform properly at the start and it took (maybe) 2 years before it started to struggle. So, the factory would not be able to tell that this particular battery would expire sooner than expected. When items are made in batches at express speed, occasionally this may happen. It would not be justified to condemn the manufacturer. I am happy to continue buying this item.

Bought mainly for mini whisk. They're working fine

Have used these batteries for a while now and they're initially pretty good. I would say they get nowhere near the quoted 400 cycles before becoming useless. Had a good few refuse to charge in the charger now and are useless.

I very rarely bother to write reviews unless the product is above my expectations.... and these batteries are.Made a battery pack and ran a few charge / discharge cycles, to my suprise my good quality (and proven accurate) smart charger reports that the battery capacity is 2500mAh, of course time will reduce this but it's a great place to start from.

The battery seems okay, but the size for this AA battery, not sure had it got 1mm extra bulk, it seems to not fit normal UM-3 slot. I had to massage it in. Will see.

Amazon Basics AA Rechargeable Batteries (2400 mAh) – Real Capacity Test ResultsI ran a full analysis cycle on 8 cells using an ISDT N8-series smart charger at a 0.5A charge/discharge rate. Unfortunately 4 of the 12 cells were accidentally thrown out with the broken toy they were in so I couldn’t test those. Here are the actual measured results after initial break-in and a few months of normal use in kids toys and various gadgets:Capacity Results (mAh):- 3001- 2687- 3001- 2658- 2639- 2625- 2649- 2698Average Capacity: 2700 mAhRated Capacity: 2400 mAhInternal Resistance (mΩ):- Range: 124 mΩ – 200 mΩKey Takeaways:• All 8 cells tested at or above their rated 2400 mAh capacity• Two cells measured around 3000 mAh, which is significantly above spec (likely inflated slightly by the lower 0.5A test rate, but still impressive)• Most cells clustered tightly between 2625–2700 mAh, showing good consistency• Internal resistance varied from 124–200 mΩ, which is decent but not premium-tier lowWhat this means for real-world use:These are solid mid-to-high performance NiMH cells:- Great for moderate to high-drain devices (controllers, cameras, etc.)- Not quite as consistent as premium Japanese made brands, but very close considering the price- One higher-resistance cell (~200 mΩ) may perform slightly worse under heavy load and prematurely wear out. Lower resistance means less voltage sag under heavy load.Pros:- Exceeds rated capacity across the board- Good consistency between most cells- Good value for the priceCons:- Internal resistance spread is noticeable- Not all cells are perfectly matched for High-drain useFinal Verdict: 4.5 / 5 (Rated five stars because you can’t give a half star rating, close enough however):For the price, these perform above expectations. If you’re willing to match cells based on performance (capacity + internal resistance), you can get excellent results comparable to more expensive brands.Testing Note:Results were obtained using a 0.5A analysis cycle, which can slightly inflate capacity readings compared to higher-drain real-world use. Not an appreciable difference however in actual usage.Testing Equipment - ISDT N8 Series Smart ChargerPlease note: Don’t be disappointed if brand new cells don’t meet their rated capacity out of the box. NimH rechargeable batteries have a break-in period when new. This is usually 3-5 full charge/discharge cycles (for premium Japanese-made cells around 2 charge/discharge cycles). A good smart charger can do this for you. It can take several hours or they will break-in themselves over time with normal usage but their performance will increase after break-in.

Ok, ale rzeczywiście średnica baterii trochę większa (grubsza) niż standard, więc nie wszędzie będą pasować.
