I bought this to use on a new computer I built and had no problems installing or getting the computer to run. Plugged everything in the first time and it ran perfect. The best part about this board is it will support an i7 processor and has a built in video, audio, Gigabit Network, USB 3.0 and much more! By not having to buy a video card that saves a lot of money and the one included is an Intel HD video card which playes even the best games great. If I want another video card it has support for it as well. It supports 32GB of ram, I chose 16 GB to start but will upgrade to 32 when I get a little extra money. Overall this is a great motherboard and I would recommend it to anyone. Comes with a great price considering all the add-ons it saves you from buying!

There were a few issues with Sandy Bridge early on but it seems that these have all been worked out. I have built 5 PCs based on this board and all run great. The board is very economical, I couldn't be more pleased. I have used the board with i5-2300s and i7-2600s. I currently have a system raided with one Sata-II SSD and another Sata-III SSD drive for 444mb/s consecutive reads. Never had problem with any hardware on these boards. Update 11.24.2011 I stand by my 5 star rating, I still have had no problems out of these boards and I still love the value I received from them. There is one con that I must point out though: these boards only have 2x 6gbps sata ports. When I bought the boards this was not much of an issue, because there were not a lot of good sata III drives out there, especially in the SSD market. This has changed and could be an issue for some users going forward. A small problem that can be solved with an expansion card, but still worth noting.

This is a fine MoBo! The only complaint is that it only has two power (2) fan connections but you can piggy back on these connections. So the only way to make sure that the CPU/APU has plenty of cooling air is to add 5 or 6 fans to the case and use as many "Y" connectors as needed to power the fans. All of of my other computers have at least 5 fans. The MoBo runs a bit cooler then my four other computers and under full load it maintains about 30 degrees C. Also this board is a bit outdated as it has the old bios and has an i7 LGA 1155 for a CPU (part number BX80623I7260K).

After many hours of troubleshooting and replacement with another new motherboard, thanks to Amazon(not Intel), I have to conclude that this motherboard is another failure of the Sandy Bridge Intel technology. The processor installed on the MB is Intel i5 2400S. Amazon furnished a second processor, also. The onboard DVI video freezes randomly. The USB ports freeze randomly. Intel's technical support, located in Costa Rica, has not been helpful to remedy the problems. In fact, they will not acknowledge there is a problem. This motherboard is supposed to be the release after Intel's recall of earlier Sandy Bridge product, but there are still problems. Do yourself a favor and consider purchasing a motherboard without the Sandy Bridge chipset. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble. Mine is worthless. So far this motherboard is working great. However, upon installation, the software on the CD crashed and would not install. This was for a Windows 7, 64 bit OS. Since I couldn't install the Intel software, the network among other things would not work, and I couldn't get on the Internet. I finally was able to download the latest software on another computer, put it on a flash drive, and that did install and I was able to get the network interface working after that. That wasted an hour of my time, but if I didn't have another computer, it would have taken a lot longer, and what if I didn't have a flash drive? Intel needs to provide working drivers on the CD in the box!!! Don't release a product with junk software.

The motherboard works great. It did not have a VGA input, only has DVI and HDMI. I wish they included a DVI to VGA adapter with the board. My monitor only came with a VGA cable. The onboard graphics along with the core i5 2400 processor seems adequate for a regular home user. seems to be built good. My only problem was the back plate took longer to install with all its small tabs, and it was harder to line up the screw holes for the MB due to the pressure of the back plate. I know this was definitely a not a problem with my case as i had a n ASUS P6T installed in that case with no problem at all.

This motherboard worked perfectly in my build. I didn't need or want fancy overclocking or other features (look for the P67 or X series mobos for that)...I just wanted a reliable and great performing board; this motherboard delivered. I am using a 16GB Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B memory kit and a 2500K processor on the motherboard. It came up the first go and I have had it on for the last 4 days with no problems. This is a no fuss, great performing, and stable platform to build a computer on.

This item came not working, there is no heat sink brackets, and there is no USB 3.0 port on motherboard to hook up my case's front panel 3.0 USBs. Not happy with this product at all, and demanded a refund.

Very pleased. The only down side is the O/I back panel cover, which doesn't fit properly and could be improved.

Das Mainboard habe ich mir zugelegt um damit einen Heimserver auf der Basis von Ubuntu bzw. FreeBSD zu bauen. Und in dem Rahmen läuft es perfekt - schnell und zuverlässig. Der Aufbau des Servers mit dem Board war einfach, und lief sehr entspannt. Die Dokumentation ist sehr gut, die Anschlüsse sind durch den grossen Formfaktor alle sehr gut erreichbar. Kein Rumgefriemel, kein Anstossen mit anderen Kabeln. Da der Server sowieso ein grosses Gehäuse hat (wegen der ganzen HDDs) habe ich gewollt ein ATX-Board statt eines Mini-ATX-Boards oder ähnlichem gewählt. Auffällig ist allerdings auch hier, dass der Slot für die Graka sehr nahe an diversen anderen Anschlüssen liege - für Server egal, daher von mir kein Abzug. Das BIOS scheint mit schlüssig, zumindest für mich (und beim Bedarf für den Server) war alles leicht zu finden und leicht einstellbar. Der Umfang der Anschlüsse ist für meinen Bedarf sehr gut. Ich nutze einen internen SATA-Port für eine SSD als Systemplatte, drei weitere SATA-Ports für drei HDDs mit je 2 TB. Der E-SATA-Anschluss ist ideal für eine Dockingstation für ein Backup. Die grosse Zahl von USB-Anschlüssen ist perfekt für den Anschluss von Druckern, Webcams, einem Bluetooth-Dongle, und dann ist noch genug für Dinge wie einen Arduino etc. übrig. Da gibt es nichts zu meckern! Der 1 Gbit-Netzwerkanschluss funktioniert wunderbar, und ist voll ausreizbar. Er versorgt beim Zugriff auf die HDDs im RAID mit 124 MB pro Sekunde - was will man mehr :-) . Unter Ubuntu und FreeBDS läuft alles out of the box, kein Nachbasteln nötig. Eine mögliche Schwachstelle (aber kein Grund für einen Punktabzug, denn diese Schwachstelle haben so ziemliche alle aktuellen Boards) ist der Kühlkörper auf der Northbridge. Im Serverbetrieb hatte ich dort eine Temperatur von 55° Celsius und darüber, während der Rest der Hardware weniger als 35° hatte. Ein Austausch und ein Einbau eines Alpenföhn Ötzi verringerte die Temperatur auf konstante 43°, was Leistung, Stromverbrauch und Lebensdauer stark erhöht. Der Einbau ist relativ einfach - einfach den alten Kühler abklemmen, etwas Kühlpaste auftragen, und mit dem Bügel den Alpenföhn-Kühler festklemmen. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Last but not least: Im Karton lebte eine Spinne. In einer der Kartonecken war ein kleiner Kokon, beim Anstubsen sprang die Spinne heraus, und flitzte direkt hinter mein Regal. Seitdem habe ich sie nicht mehr gesehen. Ob die Spinne seit der Produktion in China im Karton sass, oder erst im Amazon-Lager in Regensburg zugestiegen ist, weiss ich allerdings nicht. Etwas strange war das aber schon ... doch kein PC- oder Server-Bau ohne Überraschungen ;-) .

Ho montato questa Mainboard in accoppiata a: - CPU intel i5-3450 - Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Kit 8GB - SSD Samsung 830 64GB - 2x Segate 1TB in RAID 1 Ho optato per una configurazione di questo tipo poiché necessitavo di una soluzione altamente stabile. Ad oggi sono 3 Anni che la Workstation è accesa 24h 7giorni su 7 e non ha dato mai cenno di problemi o rallentamenti. Inutile dire che Intel è una garanzia assoluta. Consiglio questo prodotto a chiunque sia in cerca di un prodotto affidabile e performante.

Tutto funziona senza problemi. Spedizione era veloce e la descrizione corrispondeva al articolo ricevuto. La scatola conteneva anche istruzioni per il assemblaggio del PC molto semplici e chiare. Insomma gran prodotto, sono soddisfatto. Si è rotta dopo 4 anni di funzionamento.

Ich habe mir dieses Board vor allem gekauft, da ich davon ausging, von Intel ein gut unterstütztes Board das problemlos läuft zu bekommen. Grundsätzlich läuft es auch ganz gut, das Bios hatte aber insbesondere nicht die Qualität, die ich von einem Intel Board erwarte. Insbesondere verhält es sich recht merkwürdig, wenn man GUID-Partitionstabellen hat, aber nicht per EFI sondern ganz normal mit dem MBR booten möchte. Ob man die Option UEFI Boot eingeschaltet oder ausgeschaltet hat ändert an dem Verhalten interessanterweise nichts. Wenn man nur Windows mit den Board verwendet sollte das unproblematisch sein, allerdings hatte ich gehofft, dass die Firmware sauber geschrieben ist und nicht einfach über ein etwas ungewöhnlicheres Setup stolpert. Der Intel Chipsatz wird erwartungsgemäß von aktuellen Linux-Versionen (z.B. Ubuntu 11.10) sehr gut unterstützt. Fazit: Man bekommt für das gleiche Geld auch nicht mehr Qualität wie zum Beispiel bei Asus oder MSI. Das Board ist ok, aber man sollte es nicht kaufen nur weil Intel draufsteht.
