Does what it should do

Excellent quality. What a pity that I'm going to heavily modify it for a gate-unrelated project, for which it is perfect. :-)Dimensions: Iron used is 5.6mm thick and 28mm wide. The gap is 55mm (approx 2 3/16 inch) wide and the loop is 78mm high (internal). 30cm from hole centre to end of loop.

Seems to be well made and robust enough for our gate. The width was more than the 2” stated though but I squashed it in the vice a little and it fits perfectly well. Really happy with the item and was pleasantly surprised when the coach bolt for it dropped out of the package too.
