Don't cut and splice your wires in your vehicle. Buy the matching Wiring Harness that you splice the radio in to and plug into the stock plug on the vehicle. Cutting your wires in your vehicle is setting yourself up for failure.

It should work all steering wheel buttons

i installed it on a 2006 4Runner...no problems whatsoever...i dont believe its HU specific bc i ordered it before the HU...i have no lag time on the steering controls...its the same as with the oem HU. barely a second.

If you want steering wheel controls (SWC) for the radio and do not have SWC radio buttons, you can purchase radio frequency (RF) buttons for the steering wheel here on Amazon.
