READ THIS OVER OTHER REVIEWS. a lot of people say these still tangle. But they don’t if you use them right. What a lot of people fail to notice. Is you can loosen the part my fingers on (see attached picture). If you have them too tight it won’t move around freely. I have mine only on about a turn and a half from falling off. Buy doing so it gives the sliders more room to move around freely. I have have zero issues. Rather other people put them tight then the sliders can’t slide. So don’t do that. I would buy them again. Good quality easy to Put on. Works for a 1” metal or wood pole. Ect.

Bought it to replace the one on my flag pole because they where plastic and didn't work well, spent more time untangling the flag than enjoying seeing it proudly flying. These work great, got some for my mom's flag as well, they are a quality product and work, recommended

Pay attention to the diagram instructions on this Amazon product page. I installed the flag, pole and Yarkor rings a week ago. The wind was 10MPH, the top ring allowed the flag to wrap around the pole. Disappointed! There's a diagram on the Flag pole box, but a much better diagram and instructions are available on this Amazon page for this product. The orientation of the rings is critical for these to work correctly. If installed incorrectly, the set screw can interfere with the carabiner holding the flag and the flag will tangle around the pole. I'm sure the rotating rings could be lubricated with a dry lube as well. I will review again in a few weeks to see if the tangle problem is fixed. A design that finally makes sense. I was looking for a new flag pole since the cheap plastic clips on mine broke in some high winds. These are all metal and slipped right on. They even included a the alan wrench you need to tighten them down. I saw a few reviews how the metal on metal would bind and you should put some water-proof lubricant on, but so far I have not needed to. The carabiner clips are solid and much better than the ones that typically come with flag pole kits. It's been windy here for a few days and the flag hasn't wrapped up once! Very happy with these and they are a great upgrade and kept me from having to buy a new pole (which would have come with cheap plastic clips anyway).

Good sturdy material and easy to install. However, when the wind blows, it unscrews the lock nut on the top hook. Lets the flag fall. Snap links furnished with it are junk. fell apart after a few days. Tries some of the heavier duty type that I had on hand. Did not work well, did not move freely . Am going to try some chain link splicers and see if they will work better.

I've bought 5 flag poles with plastic rings and NONE of them have survived moderate use (I even take the flags in on especially windy days). This are solid, sturdy, well engineered and work on the horrible poles I had before (I just cut the original rings off). I just got these, so it's unusual for me to put I a review for something that I've not had a chance to test throughly, but I am SO impressed with them that I really have a hard time imagining them breaking.

I am a retired Aerospace Design Engineer with 45 years of experience in manufacturing. I found these to be well designed and very well made. They are also clear anodized and I can’t find any imperfections nor short cuts causing any substandard execution of the design. Don’t except you flag to never wrap around the flag pole. These are not 100% effective, but they do work to a high degree.

The second set, same problem. The rotating rings failed. The hole where the carabiner rode was destroyed by friction. The carabiner must be too rough on the thin aluminum ring. I'll not use the carabiner, but a nylon zip tie so that is sacrificed.
