u•groom Curved Nail Scissors—Rubberized Scissors for Trimming Pets' Nails, 5½"

I like these clippers. My dachshund is extremely difficult to manage when I attempt to clip his nails. It's been a struggle for years. I wanted to try clippers that are small and less intimidating, plus easier for my hands to handle. The u-groom scissors are both of those things. And I have been able to clip his nails! I think he's getting used to it, finally. But my one complaint is that the metal of the blades are a bit soft and they are dinged up from my dog's big black nails. I wish they'd been made of stronger stuff. Otherwise, nice clippers and probably would do well with smaller dogs with flimsier nails.

Just cut all four of my cats' claws with these. They are a bit big but still do the job very well. Two of my cats are 9 months old, not little kittens but still quite small and I did not have a problem with these. Might be a bit too big for a small kitten, but they will grow, and many full grown cat's claws are as thick as a dog's, I've had both. I like the size of the finger holes, I have pudgy hands and fingers lol, they fit no problem. My pair was loose enough to open and close easily and tight enough to make a good clean cut, maybe each pair is different (speaking for a few bad reviews from kitty owners). I can only speak for the ones I got and they are nice, a rounded clipper like this is better for a cat claw, it doesn't crush the claw and, as I said, cuts clean. I would recommend and buy again.

I love these scissors I clip my kitty's nails with these. I used to hate cutting my cat's nails with cheaper scissors because the ones I bought from major petstore were just not doing a good job and my cat's nails always ended up all splitting from the tip. Since I bought this scissors, my effort and time was cut in half! This scissors clips gives the tip of nails very clean-cut. no more splinters.

My kitten has incredibly sharp claws and has scratched us a couple times unintentionally, so I bought these to take care of the problem. He let the vet clip his claws at a visit, so I thought it would be easy at home, forgetting that the vet has done this hundreds of times and has lots of experience with unruly animals. Each time I tried to clip a nail, the cat leaped out of my hands. He's really sweet though, and we determined that if one of my kids or husband distracted him and pet him, I could successfully clip his nails. It worked well, and I didn't hit any veins, so I recommend this product to anyone with cats.

Easy grip. It does the job without damaging the nail, but once or twice I felt the cut could have been cleaner.I think a cheaper nail cutter would do an equal job, as long as it's not fraying the cut nail. One vet I saw just used human nail clippers and that worked too, but obviously it depends how agreeable your cat is to start with. Mine has issues with any clipping implements. It's hard to get her to sit still.

This product is just too big for a kitten or small cat. The large size was evident in the ad (obvious picture of a dog), and acknowledged in many of the reviews, but I chose to believe the people who said they were using them for their cats with no problem.. It was a bad decision on my part, and I will return them. On the plus side, they were well made with good grips.

I love these! We had a pair and were very pleased with them. They are very sharp and cut through our spaniel/terrier mix's thick nails very easily. I was pleasantly surprised. Then we lost them. It was a sad day. :(I went to the local pet store and purchased a similar pair and tried them out. They were more expensive and were terrible! I was afraid that I was going to hurt her because I had to work so hard to cut through the nail. Those are being returned and I will be purchasing another pair of these, right away!

I finally found the perfect scissors to cut my small dogs nails. For years it has been a fight with my little ones to trim their nails. I have 3 small dogs (Shih Tzu, Maltese, and mini poodle) and it would take up to an hour just to trim their nails and now with these scissors I was done in 20 mins. Great thing about these scissors is I can trim a little at a time.
