Question 1

What is the diameter of the diaphragm? It is listed on the manufacturer's website as both 1.75 inches and 3.8 cm, which are not the same. Thanks!

Question 2

What is the total length of the stethescope? Im looking at the product dimension and they don't seem to be accurate

Accepted Answer

The total length measured 30.25 inches from tip of bell to ear pieces. The tubing length measured 21.5 inches. It isn't a cardiac surgery quality so to me it can be longer then 12-16 inches. Keeps me slightly away from the really odorous patients but still gets the job done.

Question 3

Has anyone compared this to the littmann master classic ii (not cardiology)?

Accepted Answer

Hi, I’m Marc, from ADC the manufacturer of Adscopes. Each Adscope model is designed to meet a combination of clinical need, personal preference and budget. While comparisons are tough, our 612 series is best compared to cross between Littmann’s discontinued Select and Master classic models. Perhaps a more direct comparison to the Master classic would be our Adscope 615 series. Its oversized ovoid chestpiece provides acoustic performance that rivals pricier cardiology models. Good luck with your selection, you won’t go wrong with any Adscope model as all include a lifetime warranty and free parts forever.

Question 4

Is this sthetoscope for heraing aid impaired?

Accepted Answer

According to the manufacturer's website: "ADC’s AFD technology provides the acoustic response of a traditional bell and diaphragm in a convenient one-sided chestpiece
Light pressure for low, bell-type frequency, firm pressure for high, diaphragm-type frequency"
