So I initially lined this up for about a 12ft putt. I putt the green tees that come with the mirror in their respective places in relation to the holes for the longest distance possible. The putting stroke with the tees in place at the longest distance is good for about 4ft; BUT if you just putt the tees in to hold the mirror in place you can go any distance and use the lines to line up your eyes and shoulders. The shoulders in line help the most. It's amazing what you see looking down at the ball thinking you are all lined up and your eyes and your shoulders are totally offline. This product does help. It makes you really uncomfortable at first. I used it for about 30mins and then hit regular putts wiithout the mirror and you really do get used to standing closer and lining up your eyes and shoulders. I would recommend.

I took a putting lesson recently that had a variety of putting aides. The Pro had the putting mirror set up and it showed me that my eyes were not over the ball and my shoulders were not square. I found that this type worked best for me;it is so simple and so effective. After practicing with the mirror I feel more confident that I am aligned over the ball. I love to use it before rounds.
