How do you get rid of the water it soaked?

Some courts have a built in grate that allows the user to push the water out and have it flow away. However often you just need to push the water out or squeeze it out with your foot at the edge of the court. It does a good job getting up puddles of water.

Does it have a Protective coating on roller when received or not. Seems very shiny
