This is the second one I’ve purchased for my 06 Duramax Silverado. Installation took 30-45 minutes and it’s ready to go. Fit perfectly! The first one I replaced was Left rear it’s been in for 3-4 years and still works great. I just replaced the right rear last week. Great Dorman quality!

Every Dorman replacement part I've ever gotten for my 2001 Suburban has worked great, and this window regulator was no exception. After 20+ years of faithful service, the OE regulator finally gave out and seized up. Fortunately, I was able to get the window in the up position before it did. When I located the Dorman replacement on Amazon, I didn't hesitate a moment before ordering. Replacing one of these things is not a particularly hard job, but I've never done it on this truck, so, I had to take a little time checking out a few YouTube videos before I got started, which were VERY helpful. The part comes with a single page of decent written instructions, but if "a picture paints a thousand words," a good instructional video paints ten thousand. If you know what you're doing, this job should take about a half-hour or less. If you don't know what you're doing, it'll take longer, but still, not more than an hour or two. The OE came out pretty easily; the Dorman replacement fit perfectly into its place, and worked like a charm ... my window is back in action, for no more than the cost of the replacement part. Dorman/Amazon did the trick for me again. Five stars.

This is for rear driver-side window on a GMT-800 Suburban Dorman part #741-578. Woke up to my window being down. If you're reading this, you probably know the cables on Chevy regulators sometimes snap, letting the window drop into the door. I put some shims in it to hold it up and waited for this to arrive. Dorman is a known quantity. They aren't known for the best parts, or the worst. There is at least someone to call if you get a dud. Dorman can have a reputation of having parts that can be a bit fiddly, like they are a little bit off. This part looks good, fit in no problem and works flawlessly. I think this is going to be my go-to for regulators. They are almost as inexpensive as the non-name part, but there's at least a real parts company behind it. The one I put in my Nissan seven years ago is still working fine.

So easy! Took about 30 minutes to install perfect fit. Has been inplace for over a month now without a problem. I think I will replace the other three as they are running slower and stick now and then. Fast shipping and fair price.

My rear door window crank had broken and needed a replacement. This was the right fit and easy to install. Had the old one out and the new one installed in no time. No modifications needed.Works pretty good so far

It was a perfect fit and worked great. I don't know if you can go by me though because all I need is for it to stay up. I literally NEVER have a rear seat passenger. Not in 10 years anyway. My back seat is dry tool storage area. And since I can't roll the windows down with the remote the window is never lowered. But for this price what the heck! One thing I really ought to do is take out the back seat completely and rig up a custom tool depot. Kudos to GM as well on this one. It's hard to imagine a replacement scenario for a mechanism like this that would be easier. These Kat Eye Silverados are THE BOMB OF THE UNIVERSE!!!!! Assuming I don't total it, this is the truck I'll be driving right before they put me in the home. I'll drop a new motor and or transmission in her without any debate. If I won a brand new decked out $70,000 pickup in a raffle I'd sell it, pay the gift tax, and pour some of it into this sweetheart and bank the rest.

If you are even a little bit mechanically inclined, you can replace your own window regulators. I have done 3 of these now for our vehicles. First one took all of about 25 minutes, now I can do them in about 15. It's very easy. First, you remove the inside door panel (refer to your make and model/year to see how to do that (all of 3 bolts for mine). Wedge the window in the up position using a rubber wedge. loosen the bolts holding the broken one to the window, loosen the bolts for the broken one holding it to the door metal. Remove the old one, put the new one in and reverse the procedure. I HIGHLY recommend watching how-to on YouTube to see how to do this. But it is VERY easy and cost-effective. Taking it to a dealer or repair shop would run in the hundreds to have fixed, doing it yourself is much more cost-effective. That is why I have done my own. So make sure you get the right make/model/year set and do it yourself! It's really easy!
