Database Design, Application Development, and Administration, Sixth Edition 6th Edition

For a beginner like me, this book has been exceptionally thorough and easy to understand. I never thought I'd enjoy reading a book like this for school, but it is well written. I actually prefer the book over my professor's lectures. Worth buying!

I bought this book as it was referred by the Professor. I found it complex and verbose. It requires second reading to capture and remember the concepts explained.

I purchased this textbook for my Database Management course. The description states that this book is ideal for new students; I would highly disagree. As the other reviewer mentioned, the textbook is complex and tends to ramble on. Had the author simply gotten to the point in each chapter, the book may have been more useful.

I disliked this entire book. The explanations rambled and were too technical for a beginner. The examples were vague and extremely difficult to follow since they referred to diagrams on multiple pages.

Yay database.

Probably one of the driest reads I have ever used in school. Topics are written out in a confusing and repetitive way.
