I have carried a 2 shot model of this for over a decade and never had to use it. I upgraded to the 4 shot model and the day I had to use it I was very pleased with how effective it was. The UV dye comes out as blue and it have farther range than a taser and is the gift that keeps on giving. I do recommend having spare cartridges in hand so if you do have to use it you are not without waiting for a replacement in the mail.

There equipment is top notch , Police Grade gear. Fired 3 shots and saved the day 1 year later2 dogs drug an elderly lady to the ground {she was about 60 } and got away from her in an attempt to attack me and my wife out for our evening walk. I shoooot the one that charged us first as the women had a hold of the white dog but just then this massive white dog tried to get behind my wife for a "nip " so i shotttt it in the face and its entire face showed splatter of red pepper spray . the dumb lady flipped out cursed me out and called the cops and sent 5 guys . The Dogs gave up with one shot did not yellp but i was only there for 10 secondswalking threw the neighbor hood looking for me. They did good not to find me as i dont defend my castle with mace. My women now knows why im always packing .
