Introduction to Design and Analysis: A Student's Handbook (A Series of Books in Psychology)

Let me make this super clear, I HATE statistics with a passion. This book contains things that my professors in psychology did not learn until Grad school, yet we learned them as second years in college. This is not stats for beginners.However, this book saved my GPA as a student. When the COVID pandemic started and classes switched online, I quickly fell behind in statistics as online learning does not work well for me. But this book helped me through the toughest of stats problems. The format is amazing and if you know the basics, it is easy to follow.I bought a used copy really cheaply and ended up tearing out pages and stapling them in my notes so I wasn't scrambling through the book studying. I have my notes saved away and still refrence them whenever I have to hand calculate anything stats related. 10/10 recommend.

Not going to lie I did not read this book for my Research Statistics and Design class like I should have. But my professors kept raving about how this was the best book to use to learn this stuff so I guess there’s that. Also for the times I did read, the author wrote the book in a was that did not feel like they were talking at you which was nice.

I love how these books get mismatched so easily. I suppose it is my fault for not investigating and being in constant contact with these book salesman but after all who has the time for all that when books are limited and i need them ASAP.Why cant there juwst be pictures? this would solve all the headache.I give three stars because it at least made it to me. Wrong book tho. needed a different edition and got the old oneGo Figure. S>O>C>K>S.... It is what it is.But can we get more pictures on these books? even on older edition... ON ALL Editions??I ask why not? make our lives less hectic. the people need to speak up!

You need a little bit of background to make full use of this book, but it is the clearest book I've read describing the formulas and concepst behind the analyses. I recommend it :)

It is very dry and technical, but that is what stats is so not much you can do about it. Definitely on a grad level with an assumption that one is comfortable with the background.

Stats isn't easy for anyone who has taken it but the book was such an easy (low key enjoyable) read!
