Nice snug fit on 0.045 inch thick sheet metal (as measured with paint). Used to protect wires from 2 inch diameter hole edges cut into the back of a metal TV stand. Black edge shield applied to holes cut into matte black painted sheet metal. Clean look. Edge shield stays put with friction fit only; no glue/adhesive used. So far no issues with pulling wires through the holes. I did have to use a file and sand paper to clean the edges of the holes I cut in the sheet metal as the small burrs left by the hole saw prevented the edge shield from being applied. After deburring the holes to a smooth-to-the-touch feeling, the edge shield was straight forward (albeit tedious) to apply.

This edging is a fairly easy way to apply an attractive edge to thin materials. It is effective at dulling sharper edges. The only caveat is that there is no adhesive with this edging. I used it around the bottom edge of a floor lamp base, and I lightly sanded the metal where it would be covered by the edging. Then, after the edging was in place, I secured it in several places with Bondic UV-setting clear plastic weld liquid. Now we don't have to worry about the lamp base scratching or cutting our floor coverings.Yes, I would recommend this edging, but be ready to use an adhesive in some applications.

easy to install on thin sheet metal

This edge protection adapted well to different thickness of sheet metal. It hangs on real well. No problems with it popping out or coming loose. I use it on my racing car and don't even need to glue it in. I just stays. Wonderful stuff.

If you bought this, you know what it's for. It is the real deal and works just like you'd expect.

Nice and covers the sharp edges but doesn't look.all that great.

very disappointed with the hold power and softness of the plastic. Could use some type of contact cement on the inside track to help hold it to whatever its attached to. I used super glue to hold it in place so it wouldn't come off.
