So, every single one lit up. Just be sure to pull the clear tabs out from the battery compartment. I haven't tested the longevity but they are very bright when together. They look so good. The quality is nice and the flicker is there. Very nice warm color.[Edit] You know what, after using them for their purpose you might not need to order another box. Imagine a completely dark room with two queen sized beds in it. With the candles scattered all around the room, it was well lit. It was dim enough for a good mood but also just bright enough to see where you going. But hey unless you in some gigantic room you may need another box.

They do not have a timer, they are on or off. Adequate in every respect, and there is a BUNCH of them! Used on Halloween to decorate my massive porch. Worked most of the night on one battery each. Not wonderful, not bad!

I received these on the 4th and turned them all on that night and put them in hanging tea light holders all over my room. It was one hell of an ordeal hanging them all up, so I didn't turn them off. It's the 27th and they are still lit, they did start to dim out about 5 days ago though. I'll update when they flicker out.

I don't know how they do this. The whole order of 12 is less than I'd expect to pay for the batteries. I haven't had them long enough to testify to the battery life and I have not used the timer function. But as a flickering tea light they're amazing.

These tea lights are just what I was looking for. They give off a soft and warm looking light and they last quite long.

These just didn’t work for me. They were very dim and didn’t flicker so back they went.
