Excelent book, clear, visual, practical. It id a Good fluent guide to implement a lean project. A must for lean practitioners!

I am glad he updated this book. Overall it is a solid lean book, particularly on the subject of, creating product families, scheduling mixed model value streams and creating pull through shared equipement. I purchased the kindle edition. On the kindle edition the value stream maps, are so small they are essentially illegiable; drastically degrading their value and the overall learning experience. Also, the kindle version does not include the CD content present in the paperback version.I left a message on Kevin Duggan's website asking for legable copies of the value stream maps as well as the CD content. No reply to date.

This book explains the concepts of mixed model and how to design them using a case study. I recommend this to lean practitioners, supply chain and operations managers.

The book is very educational, insightful and easy to comprehend but the order was incomplete. The CD with templates was not received as mentioned in the offer.

A great book with simple to understand practical advice. Unfortunately for me, though, my business doesn't assemble things. We make paper products to order and I'm yet to work out how lean can help.

For concepts, examples and how to draw a complex Actual Value Stream Map its great, but there is missing the 8 clear steps to create Future Value Stream Maps.

excellent read for VSMaps practitioners , good guide to perform VSM on complex high mix low volume environments , easy reading , great examples!
